Views Getting to Sanibel Island Beach from Ocean's Reach.

Is this just not the prettiest walkway and entrance to the beach?  I love that the grounds are so pretty and so very well maintained here at Ocean's Reach.  ( I do imagine that ALL of Sanibel's resorts are maintained just as well ) But having stayed here for two years in a row I can attest that the management here does an excellent job.  (this is just my opinion - I am not a condo owner nor am I affiliated with Ocean's Reach in any way)

These were taken on the last day of our stay in July 2010.  My brother and his daughter (my pride and joy) Kenna who is 1-1/2 here.  Don't you love the waves!!  The ocean was relative calm the whole time until this day.  I normally don't care for the beach in the summer (oh who am I kidding - I will go to Sanibel anytime!!) but this day was fab...huge waves - wonderful breeze - we were out there all day.

I couldn't decide if I liked the color or the black and white better.  Almost everyone I showed this too went "Ahhhh how sweet" and I must agree.  Don't know what it is about dad's and their little girls that tugs at the heartstrings.

 I will have more to share later from this years trip.  My girl had just turned 3 and there is a little more "sass" in her photos.

Sanibel Island's Lighthouse

Don't you just love the wild and natural look to this beach?  I heart the drift trees!!

I know the lighthouse is not the typical type that you see on the Northeast coast but it is still cool to see.

I used these pictures in the making of my collage in my first post.  I took these in October 2011.  For a novice I think they turned out pretty good.  I haven't used any software to touch them up - what you see is what I snapped.  Hope you like them.

I love Sanibel Island Florida soooooo much and I am "always dreaming" of being back there!!

Sanibel Island's Snowy Egret

I absolutely LOVE these birds.  Their yellow legs and yellow face make me smile.  I love their long slender necks as well.  While I am not as proud of these shots as I am with the pelican pictures, these are the best I've gotten.  These were taken at Blind Pass on the Sanibel side under the bridge in October 2011. 

Sanibel Wildlife

 I love how these shots of this pelican turned out.  I love pelicans and normally do not get such detailed shots.  I took these walking around the boat docks after eating lunch at Grandma Dot's.  If you are on Sanibel or Captiva you must try the coconut shrimp at Grandma Dots.  It is AMAZING!  Just sayin'......you will not be disappointed!

An early morning shot on Sanibel's beach in front of Ocean's Reach condo resort.  Doesn't it just inspire dreaming.... Certainly does for me..I can hear the waves gently splashing the shoreline and feel a soft breeze on my face as I search for the perfect seashell to dazzle my collection....(sigh)
