I hope that 2013 is good to all of us! I don't know about you but 2012 was not my best year. Not the worst either but definitely not the best. I am going to try to have a more positive outlook as I enter 2013. I am going to try to become more organized and more productive. I will let you know how that goes...fingers crossed....lol.
I do want to share a few more bottles that I have made. The first set are made from bottles that I am sure you can recognize. They were the first bottles that I spray painted. My BF liked them so much that I decided to put his monogram on it and let him have it.
then I put my monogram on one (well it's not totally correct) the "B" is my maiden name but I wanted to keep it "symmetrical" like his.
I also made mine a little more girly with a bigger flourish and I added some jewels as well.
I bet you know what bottles these are now. Doesn't the detail show up with the silver metallic paint? They are really detailed and quite pretty.
I know I should have staged these before posting but I really wanted to get this one in before the new year.
I also made a set of bottles for my 4 year old niece Kenna ( the love of my life)
I don't think she will remember, but on the plane home from Sanibel Island she told me she wanted rainbow butterflies. I think these qualify, don't you?
But I couldn't leave well enough alone and I aqdded a few more small butterflies and I am not liking them as well as I like the bottles before. But it's too late to take them off..sigh.
I am going to make a set for my 1-1/2 year old cutie pie niece Jayden and my 4 year old nephew Braiden. I will of course share when I do.
once again a little staging wouldn't have hurt. instead you get to see my lovely workbench and all my stuff piled on it....sorry...lol
Signing off now.............must go see what you've been up to.
:-) YOU are a very wonderful aunt!

Roxanne,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!! These are a really cute DIY project...I'm sure that your niece will be very happy to receive them. To answer your question about MMS milk paint...it's a powder paint that you mix...it's works really well on all types of furniture. You can google it and find more info....hope to see ya at this weeks party:)
Blessings,
Linda

Oh my gosh, Roxanne! You truly have a gift when it comes to decorating and transforming bottles! They're all so beautiful! I'll bet that you could sell them in a little shop someplace! Love that turquoise daisy ribbon from WalMart! So cute! Lovely job - and keep up the good work!! (Oh, and fair warning about Michael's and Hob Lob. Verrrrrry dangerous for us crafters!!! lolol!)
